Well, I wanted it to go to seven, but I'm happy the Heat won. They showed more heart, coming back from 2-0 down, winning four in a row, you can't really say they don't deserve it. They beat a very good Mavs team four times in a row! Congratulations Miami! thumbs up!

Everybody is in the street down here tonight. Woo Hoo! biggrin

Shaq promised us this title when he came here. He said 3 years and they did it in 2. All night I kept yelling at the tv, "SHAQ! YOU PROMISED!" over and over, like a nut. lol

D. Wade was incredible throughout the whole series. I thought Zo was gonna have a nervous breakdown at the end, lol he overcame a lot of adversity to be there tonight. I'm so happy for these guys.

GO HEAT!!!

DAMN lol I have to be happy that Zo & GP FINALLY got rings clapping And I didn't realize the changes this team has been through this year until they broke it down after the game - Pat Riley is a fuckin' genius omfg touched

I haven't watched any Heat games this year so I really didn't know how amazing Dwayne Wade is, I'm happy for his lil ass too lol

And Shaq is growing on me, it's kinda hard to hate him. I think it was the Laker uniform that made it so easy confused

All that said I STILL wanted Dallas to win, or at least hold on & make it to 7. I feel sorry for that team shrug

Gotta be happy for this little baby though, got me wishing I was that trophy mushy

heart prince I never met you, but I LOVE you & I will forever!! Thank you for being YOU - my little Princey, the best to EVER do it prince heart

Go Shaq!!! Fuck L.A., Kobe's bitch ass, and dumbass Mitch Kupchak and Jerry Buss!

Go Gary Payton, my dawg FINALLY GOT HIS RING...NEXT STOP HALL OF FAME!

Go Zo, been watching this brotha since he was in HIGH SCHOOL!! Love the desire, fire, passion, intensity, and his class act!!

D-Wade...if you hadn't gotten hurt last year, this may have been ring number two....madd skillz!!

I tip my hat to Dallas....they came in and balled their asses off all through the playoffs!!

I was a bit pessimistic about Miami since trading away their shooters, but THEY PULLED IT THE FUCK OUT!!!

I don't sport too much team paraphenalia, but I will rock a Miami shirt cause Me and Shaq go back!! Love that man and his Charisma. I still would have given Kobe a Karl Malonesque type foul like he did to Isaiah Thomas back in the day for putting his shit out there...Bitcha ass!!

GO HEAT...GO HEAT....GO HEAT!!!!!

I'll give credit 2 the HEAT and WADE, plus now I can talk more shit about Kobe's punk ass.

On the Dallas side, Dampier has GOT 2 GO. Look at their losses in this series and look at his hand in the losses. This guy has no BUSINESS being in the game at crunch time. NONE.

Well, these trends/streaks continue:

- The title has gone through Shaq 7 out of the last 8 years
- Jumpshooting teams can't win titles
- A Euro player has yet to prove he can lead his team to the Promised Land
- He who controls the paint, controls the titles

I'm glad GP got his ring, he deserved it. 2nd best PG ever. I can't be believe Jason Kapono's ho ass got a ring. That's sad.

It helps when the refs are giving one team ALL of the calls. Did u peep some of those blocked shots by Alonzo? Fouls and goal tending all over the place.....No call.

That sounds really good until u are in a close game and a CRITICAL call is either made or NOT made.

That's why I said, "Put up a sufficient number of points more than your opponent and you win regardless of what any cadre of referees may do."

That's why in boxing, Marvin Hagler said his MO was to never leave the decision in the hands of the referee if he could help it.
Knock the MF out, then there's no doubt! cool

All Dallas has to do is not choke game 3 and hit free throws in game 5, and it's a different celebration location. Can't keep blaming the refs, bro.

The HEAT earned their victory but I really HATE it when refs determine outcomes of games. I REALLY DO. That being said, the Mavs choked especially Dampier.

Did Tony Parker not have a massive hand in the Spurs' championships? Ok, you might argue he didn't lead the team as such as Duncan is the typically recognised star of that club, but you might be able to make a case for him.

The Heat won four straight after going down 2 and being on the brink of 0-3. Refs' calls pale in significance compared to the momentous effort it took the Heat to do that. Yeah, I saw some iffy calls against both teams, and a couple in favour of the Heat just happened to come closer to the end of the game, but it's a game of 48 minutes. You have to play for the full game. 2 points is still only 2 points whenever it's scored, as is a traveling call, a missed goaltend, a soft foul call. I think overall the refs were fair, so I'm not concerned with timing. You've got to play the entire game and accept that refs' errors can come at anytime. Let's just say, for example, a Mavs player in the second quarter gets away with a bit of a hack, steals the ball and gets an easy lay-up, that's 2 points he shouldn't have had. His team still has that undeserved 2 points on the board when, say, a Heat player drives wildly to the basket with 10 seconds left in the game and gets bailed out by the refs and goes to the line where he sinks two free throws. I don't think you can make the distinction. Over the series I think the teams were evenly treated. Make the most of the breaks when you get them and be in a position for calls against you to harm you less. The Mavs didn't do that and the Heat showed great spirit. Bench players played above and beyond their normal level in the clincher and that proved the difference.

I became more of a Heat fan when Shaq came. I luvs me some Shaq! He is so freakin' cool and down to earth. I wonder what "Coochie" Bryant got to say now?

I think I was happiest for Zo. Hell, the man almost died a few years ago and nobody ever imagined he would play ball again. He always gives back to this town, especially the youth.

Thanks for the great pics, July. biggrin

This series belonged to Dwayne Wade, What Shaq did was akin to what a good interior lineman does in football. He made a play here and there, but his job was to clear the lanes and demand double-teams. He basically took himself out of the series as an offensive threat with his even-worse-than-subpar FT shooting. But he gave Wade room to operate. Shaq is no longer the king. But he can be a kingmaker.

I'm happy for Riles. He probably did his best coaching job here. Not a terribly brilliant GM job, because this team will likely run out of gas next year. But he proved, as Phil did earlier this decade, that 2 factors can keep you in and win the hunt.

I'd watch out for Phoenix next year.
