The Heat won by the skin of their teeth. I dont expect them to win again.

It was a great effort though, and looked very unlikely after that awful 3rd quarter. I honestly didn't think they had it in them. The series was over if not, as a spectacle too. I just want this one to go to seven.

For no other reason than he was and is fun to watch. He shot well, he has a face-up game, he's a 7-footer and he could run the floor like a guard. I actually wanted him to be the next big Laker superstar. True, he wasn't a post-up guy, a defender or a leader until this season, but he's right there now.

You don't have to invest in a player to enjoy his game. My emotional investments lie in my teams, not in any of the players.

And Hakeem "the most skilled" big man of all time? I'd say Kareem belongs in that argument.
Don't bring up KG right now. I don't want to get my hopes up.

Kareem is the greatest Center of all time, but Hakeem has the greatest skills altogether for a center: Footwork, handles, post moves, Jater, and D. Kareem doesn't have better footwork or handles or jumper or D than Hakeem. Hakeem is the all time leader in blocks and steals for a big man.

KG and Kobe may become more real than people think.

It's great to see someone talking about Olajuwon here. His post up moves were just beautiful. The guy had such an elegance about his offensive game. I miss those days of being a basketball fan in the mid 90s when, to me, he was by far the best centre in the league. I was a Hawks fan, but I loved watching that Rockets championship team.

Hakeem was the man. I loved him even more in college. That's one of the best teams to NOT win a NCAA title of all time.

PLAYOFF SERIES: NBA finals; Mavericks lead 2-1.

The Miami Heat have admitted to playing poorly for almost all of the NBA finals. It was their performance over the span of half a quarter, however, that has them right back in the series.

Miami looks to build off its furious comeback at the end of Game 3 and tie the NBA finals at two games apiece as it hosts the Dallas Mavericks.

The Heat were outplayed in the first two games of this series in Dallas, losing both contests by a combined 24 points, and found themselves on the verge of going down 3-0 when they trailed the Mavs 89-76 with just under seven minutes to go in the fourth quarter on Tuesday.

But behind Dwayne Wade, the Heat mounted the second-largest fourth-quarter rally in NBA finals history, outscoring the Mavs 22-7 over the final 6:34 to come away with a 98-96 win.

The series was 2 in Dallas 3 in Miami and 2 in Dallas.
There is one more game to be played in Miami. Sunday Night Jun 18.
Then in Dallas June 20 and June 22. Depending on what happens Sunday Night.

Dallas won them both by outplaying the Heat.
It was looking like Dallas would continue to roll.
But Miami has taken charge and are really picking it up.
Which has been in most part to the up tempo of D Wade.

Wow, I don't know how much that was down to the Heat playing well or the Mavs playing awfully in the second half. Shaq definitely stepped it up, great passing from the post, and Wade was aggressive. Dirk was really off colour, shooting terribly, getting bumped a lot and not getting any calls. I can't see the Mavs shooting that badly in game 5 though. I was thinking the Mavs would get to 3-2 with two chances at home to win it, but the momentum has definitely changed. I could see the Heat having two good shots at an away win to be champions.

For the next game I'm anticipating a better performance from Dallas (they couldn't shoot worse!), and in particular Nowitzki, with Shaq and Wade also playing well now the Heat are up and running. I think it'll be a closer one and will decide the ultimate winner of the series and championship.

I think the Miami Heat have a slight edge. Sunday is crucial for both teams. Dallas could come up and leave Miami with a 3-2 lead or Miami could be up 3-2, which they need to do If they wanna have a chance in Dallas.

Classic Shaq...

...My daughters tackle me harder when I come home.

It actually felt pretty good to get hit like that. Thank you, Jerry. Appreciate it."

lol Is that what he said? Stackhouse led with his shoulder and didn't raise his arms til the last moment. That was all that saved him from getting ejected.

I pulled the original quote I posted off of a news site.
I've since altered it to reflect what I actually heard him say to an interviewer.

Stackhouse has since been suspended for the next game.

Really? Wow, that's harsh considering he wasn't even ejected. I didn't like the foul. Shaq was pretty vulnerable and could've been hurt, but considering they only gave a basic flagrant during the game I'm suprised about the suspension.

I haven't heard much made out of the fact that it might be a little retaliation for Shaq bloodying Stackhouse's nose in Dallas. As for Dirk: he'll be okay when they decide to call the game extra tight. That'll probably happen in Dallas. He and Wade are still getting calls that regular players wouldn't get-- like the call after Mourning blocked his shot-- so there shouldn't be any complaints.

Dirk is playing like HOT garbage...I admit, I haven't seen too much of the
Mavs' games, but this is their superstar, right? He looks and plays clumsily,
kinda reminds me of OLD Patrick Ewing, you know how he would dribble and
you would KNOW he was going to trip over his own feet.

I don't see any home teams losing...so we're looking at game 7 in Dallas. thumbs up!
Thanks for the laughs, arguments and overall enjoyment for the last umpteen years. It's time for me to retire from Prince.org and engage in the real world...lol. Above all, I appreciated the talent Prince. You were one of a kind.
