Sending Emails To Family/Friends Don't know about the rest of you, but I definitely have developed an indifferent attitude about emailing family and friends. I only email someone when I really have something to say, or if someone is asking me a question and is waiting for a response from me. Sure, I'll read the email, but most times I don't respond. I know that's totally rude (and I feel bad for not responding), but I think it's because most of the people in my personal life don't seem to like/appreciate the things that I have emailed to them in the past. I have had people ask me not to email them anymore, that they don't like what I sent, or that they did not open an attachment that I sent with an email because they were afraid that it had a virus. Now it seems to me that if someone sent me an email with an attachment that I was not sure of, I check with the person who sent it. I would ask them if they had indeed sent it to me (since certain viruses can attach themselves to your email address book and send the viruses out without your knowledge), before just flat out deleting it. The same friend who was deleting my emails with attachments recently asked me if I had her newest email address. I flat out told her, "I don't do emails anymore." What I really felt like saying was, "Why should I email you, when you delete practically everything that I send??" After you hear all the negative comments about emails that you send to people (because you think that the email you send is something they would enjoy reading), that stuff kinda hurts your feelings. It gets to the point where you say, "No more emails for me." Guess I would rather pick up the phone and call somebody or talk to them face to face instead of communicating with them through the computer.

I have special email friends I don't forward crap to anyone and I get mad if I get some. My dad sends me weird stuff without even saying hello but then again he is a bit nuts.

I HATE those chain emails: "Please send this to so-and-so many people within the next hour of receiving, or you will have bad luck!" It's like, please, do you REALLY think I'm dumb enough to believe that? A girl at work sends those types of emails to me and some of my other coworkers all the time, and I really wish she wouldn't, but I don't know how to nicely tell her to stop. RIP, mom. I will forever miss and love you.

If that's what you like to do, no problem, do whatever you like. To each their own. RIP, mom. I will forever miss and love you.

I will try to google it. | |

Same here, in fact, I find myself kind of ignoring any emails that I do get. RIP, mom. I will forever miss and love you.

since I've been overseas I send group emails... they've dwindled now though because I very very rarely get any replies or hear from anyone so I just kinda think well why am I bothering then with the group ones if noone wants to read it

I don't email people that never respond to my emails. It gets old. Usually I'll respond if somebody sends me something.
People that never respond to legitimate emails are assholes. If someone sends you an honest to goodness email that asks you something, you need to email them back. Otherwise, you suck as a human being. They are the same as the people who never use their signals. I would destroy them if I could.

I email anybody and everybody. If they email me. Even if it is a "?" I can't answer. I will try to show them where to find the answer. If I can. I will answer forsure. I would feel bad if I ignored an email. It's funny.
