I had the best weekend in a long time!

On Saturday, my bf and I went hiking in a place called Bushkill Falls near the Delaware Water Gap. We took the hardest trails at some points and I'm sore but it was so worth it.

I know caterpillars kill trees, but I love how this looks. I wish I could have seen the butterflies...too bad they haven't hatched yet.

My weekend was pretty ok, though. Went out for happy hour on Friday and ended up having a little get-together at endo's and drank waaaaay too much. Yesterday ws mainly spent sleeping and reading. Today I had a yummy breakfast out on my own and went to my niece's dance recital. She's 4, so it was absoultely adorable.

oh you know, just general dancing. She's only turned 4 so they are just learning general movement. Probably closest to ballet, but I wouldn't really call it that. She looked absolutely gorgeous though in a pink tutu, pink wings and a silver tiara. I wanted to squeeze her about every five minutes.

One of the other classes did a dance to 'Tiny Dancer' that was adorable too.

I love watching kids do stuff like that. My school has a talent show coming up soon I can't wait for that!

For some reason stuff like that, hell even the kid's Spring Concert, makes me tear up.

Anyways,

Friday; SUNNY AMSTERDAM; Isten arrived, biked to Park with rose and chips, met up with Dawntreader and my sweet friend Joanne. Then Dawnie left, Fhunkin arrived.

After some grooming, Isten and I went for a drink and met up with Dawntreader again, who was hanging with a few friends.

Saturday; SUNNY AMSTERDAM; Natisse arrived, we headed into town, met up with AGCM. Hopped towards a sunny terrace, where Abierman and HowComeUDontCallMe joined us.
Went for a stroll, met up by accident with OceanMistress.
Had another drink, left OceanM., then off to the store where Dawnie works... cruised a bit, fondled fetish wear with the girls, while Abierman tried to look inconspicuous.

Off to another terrace, waited for Dawnie, said byebye to AGCM and HCUDCMA, then to Abierman and Dawnie, had dinner at the All You Can Eat In An Hour Dim Sun Palace...

Natisse back at the hotel, Isten & I crashed on the couch, watched CSI Vegas, then I shaved Isten's head.

Off to the city again, just Isten and I... did some bar hoppin'....

Sunday; SUNNY AMSTERDAM; got up, did the dishes, waited for Natisse. Breakfasted with her. LOTS OF TALK and picture viewing.
Lars got up, Boris Karlov-style, drinks coffee, poses for pics, then scrams.

Tisse and I watched and listened to Prince. ("Have you heard Joy In Repetition, Tisse?"

"Well, somebody might have played it for me, once, probably Lollipop"

I need to give this girl a PROPER education!)

Then we headed into town, had an amazing fancy dinner (thanks, hun) and saw Dawn stroll by after work (Amsterdam is a village, really) but he was playing music too loud to hear his phone...

TADAAAAA!

It was non existent for me, sad to say. Worked Friday at the station until near midnight, slept for about 4 hours and got up Saturday for military drill. Then when I was released from duty got back to the station and worked until near midnight. Slight breaks in between to change clothes, eat and get back to the tv station.

Then I repeated the same process Sunday, but slept less because there was a major flood of Prince news Saturday evening when I got back that I had to tell all the detroit crawl motor babies about.

I'm still up after working what seems like 30 hours in the last 48. I'm just about to crash and sleep in for long while. I've got my "weekend" now -- Monday and Tuesday.

At least the weekend military part only happens once a month. It will be better next weekend.

I rang into work this morning and took an Emergency Holiday as I only had two hours sleep last night. I tried to sleep a little more this afternoon to catch up, but I can't.

Hung out with my buddies. Went to a few clubs. All except one agreed that it was best not to call the babe back. 5 to 1 agreed that it would be playing her game and if she was that interested in me she will seek me out.

My original plan was to be in Amsterdam with a great bunch of Orgers. An asthma attack last Monday put a stop to that.

So I spent all last week getting better and couldn't go in the end. Annoying.

But I'm still here, feeling much better and went shopping on Saturday to spend the money I would've in Amsterdam. Bought a nice stripey top (to add to the other 400 I've got ), two new jumpers, trainers and a book. That cheered me up.

But all in all very quiet.

Friday: went out on a crazy night with the girls from Rotterdam whom I've met in Austria in March.....was wild.....they're crazy!

Saturday: see Hamster's post, except I had dinner with a good friend and OceanMistress joined us later.....

Sunday: got our asses kicked playing hockey, had some beer at the club afterwards.

it was a good weekend!

Didn't have a good weekend. Ive been stressing on the Doc appt I have on Wed. I know im in trouble. Im diabetic, and it out of control I havent been taking care of myself, and I know it has finally caught up to me.

i went to church this weekend, for the first time in almost twenty years!
