Tomorrow is National Teacher Appreciation Day

So before you kick your rugrats out of the car as you slow down to a mere 15mph in front of the school tomorrow, make sure to write a note to their teachers thanking them for all they do!*

Checks, cash, flowers, candy and other trinkets are also acceptable fair to show your appreciation.

To all my fellow educators out there, you ROCK! worship

This is for you....

People
Keep on learnin’
Soldiers
Keep on warrin’
World,
Keep on turnin’
Cause it won’t be too long.
Powers
Keep on lyin’,
While your people
Keep on dyin’
World,
Keep on turnin’,
Cause it won’t be too long.

Chorus:

I’m so darn glad he let me try it again,
’cause my last time on earth I lived a whole world of sin.
I’m so glad that I know more than I knew then.
Gonna keep on tryin’ till I reach the highest ground.

Teachers,
Keep on teachin’
Preachers,
Keep on preachin’,
World, keep on turnin’,
’cause it won’t be too long.
Oh, no
Lovers,
Keep on lovin’
While believers
Keep on believin’.
Sleepers,
Just stop sleepin’
’cause it won’t be too long.
Oh, no!

Chorus

(spoken) an’ stevie knows that, uh, no-body’s gonna bring me down.
Till I reach the highest ground.
(spoken) ’cause me ’n’ stevie, see, we’re gonna be a sailin’ on the funky sound
Till I reach the highest ground.
(spoken) bustin’ out, an I’ll break you out, ’cause I’m sailin’ on.
Till I reach the highest ground
(spoken)just, uh, sailin’ on sailin’ on the higher ground
Till I reach the highest ground

* I don't think you are bad parents who would actually forcably remove your offspring from moving veichles,it's just that I've had a frustrating work day, I've had a few and that wasa lame attempt at humor. Forgive me. neutral

For all the special ed teachers here at the org....

It was 7:45 we were all in line
2 greet the teacher miss cathleen
First was kevin, then came lucy, third in line was me
All of us where ordinary compared to cynthia rose
She always stood at the back of the line
A smile beneath her nose
Her favorite number was 20 and every single day
If u asked her what she had 4 breakfast
This is what she’d say
Starfish and coffee
Maple syrup and jam
Butterscotch clouds, a tangerine
And a side order of ham
If u set your mind free, baby
Maybe you’d understand
Starfish and coffee
Maple syrup and jam

Cynthia wore the prettiest dress
With different color socks
Sometimes I wondered if the mates where in her lunchbox
Me and lucy opened it when cynthia wasn’t around
Lucy cried, I almost died, u know what we found?

Starfish and coffee
Maple syrup and jam
Butterscotch clouds, a tangerine
And a side order of ham
If u set your mind free, honey
Maybe you’d understand
Starfish and coffee
Maple syrup and jam

Starfish and coffee

Cynthia had a happy face, just like the one she’d draw
On every wall in every school
But it’s all right, it’s 4 a worthy cause
Go on, cynthia, keep singin’

Starfish and coffee
Maple syrup and jam
Butterscotch clouds, a tangerine
And a side order of ham
If u set your mind free, baby
Maybe you’d understand
Starfish and coffee
Maple syrup and jam

(starfish in your coffee, you will love it, told ya so)

Two teachers changed my life: Ms Rickman and Ms Obar hug

Ms Rickman is probably dead now, and Ms Obar would have already retired.

They tought me to #1) understand and appreiciate literature and #2) don't take anything written at face value.
