I saw clips from it when I was 5 or 6 and they haunted me for the rest of my life... talk about BAD nightmares! but I recently netflixed it and it was amazing, as far as horror films go. I really, really enjoyed it. cronenberg is brilliant here. I haven't seen the original from the 50s, so I don't know if the story is exactly the same, but it's a great mix of gross-out-horror and emotional sadness. It's one of the best horror films I've seen.

oh, and FLY II was on the other side of the DVD so I watched that too. and sequels are usually shit but I rather enjoyed it!
