I think naming a child is a difficult task...atleast it was for me, but once we stumbled across the name we ended up choosing...it seemed like a no brainer. My husbands name is Adam an we named our son Addison which means son of Adam. wow huh? how original! but I truely love that name and think it's the perfect choice. My husband and son both have ASE as initials now, so I think if we ever have another we may try to have the initials be ALE (mine) So...no sure on the first name but...almost positive I'll be using the word LIBERTY as a middle name. I'm on a liberty kick lately, I LOVE that word and all that it means. "not a fan" yeah...ok

If we had a boy, he was going to be named Bryndon...Bryndon Harrison Wade, I think..lol...My parents almost named me Brett when I was born, but they thought I'd be called "Brat" by my friends.. ..."Byron" was a literally last minute choice.

I started thinking about my future kids' names when I was in high school
The first names I chose where Stephanie for a girl and Jacob for a boy. Then my older sister had a daughter and her husband picked Stephanie for her name. At the time I had a friend who's name was Gwen, which I liked but didn't like the names it comes from...Gwendolyn, Guenevere etc. Then I saw a tv show that had Madeline Kahn on it. I'd always loved her and found that I liked her name in the way that I liked Gwen, so Madeline became my girl name. Years later I have a girl. We name her Madeline Louise (Louise being my husband's mother's middle name). So when I got pregnant again I needed another girl name. My daughter had been a bit of a surprise with very blonde hair so I picked the names Morgan and Lauren. Morgan if my second child was a girl that had dark hair and Lauren if she were blonde. She was dark haired so we named her Morgan Christine (Christine being my mother's middle name) The girls' names are King Arthur princess-y to me. My un-used boy's name ended up being Jacob Harrison. Long story but you asked! I'm firmly planted in denial

well, with jacob, we decided that when mom suggested it after her mother (my grandmother's) maiden name - Jacobson. turns out, jacob has been the most popular boys name now for like 4 or 5 years kinda pisses me off to be honest ! his middle name was to be anthony after his father, but, his dad's an idiot and so it changed to Jacob Mitchell.... and the OB doctor's name that took care of me and delivered jake.... that was Dr. Mitchell
with brianna... that was her father's choice... he suggested brianna and i added kaye (my mothers name) so, now i have Brianna Kaye One of the best days of my life... http://prince.org/msg/100/291111

We named our son Timothy partly because no one in my family is named Timothy, and for its meaning - honoring God.
Our daughter's name is Leah. We chose that driving to the hospital. Leah Hope was a morning anchor in Chicago in 2000, and we named our daughter after her. We liked the name.

I actually wanted to name my youngest "Maximillian" (MAX for short of course).
Unfortunately my boss has a big dog named Max...and I couldn't disassociate the name from the dog. By St. Boogar and all the saints at the backside door of Purgatory!

I had my childrens names picked out by the age of seven. I had it all planned out - I was going to have two children. A boy first and a girl second, just so my son could stick up for my daughter. Which, is what ended up happening!
The names I had picked out when I was seven was Zoe for a girl and Lucas for a boy. Didn't happen. My ex-boyfriend did name his daughter Zoe, a year after I had my first child, which made me feel funny. I was going to name my son Damen and my daughter Serena prior to their birth but, in the end, it went a completely different way. The names they possess now are very fitting for them. Serena and Damen wouldn't have been, nor would Zoe or Lucas have been. the d's [Edited 4/28/06 21:59pm]

When I was a trainee I knew two little boys named Amancho and Cerezo. They were such cute little guys that I decided that when I had boys to name them like that.
Unfortunatly I got a little kitten before I got my son and called it Cerezo So when my son was born I called him Amancho thinking it meant : 'beloved one' in spanish, after 7 yrs I discovered it didn't Oh well I still like his name As for a girl I had no idea and still haven't

I like...
For a girl: Saffron (I can't BELIEVE someone else already said this one!!) Rhiannon Kadi (not "Katie," but rhyming with "body") Mecca For either: Eden (pronounded "Aiden") For a boy: Gabriel Simon Aeon or Aion ...I also love Latin names like Gloria, Olivia, Victoria, Magnus or Ignatius, but they're way too dated nowadays, and nobody thinks about what the name actually means. I dont really think it suits me, but I like it only because its a family name, like I said, theres a lot of us...my mother came from a huge extended family and I grew up around all of them. They all have the same surname, so i always felt a bit left out having my fathers surname, but at least I have Alice! I prefer Susannah these days
