for three hours last night. at the airport. very cool airport, bought a skin for my ipod, and looked around at the FRIGGIN MALL they have in there.

On one of my last trips I had a bit of a layover, I forget where, and they had the WONDERFUL Shiatsu massage chairs in the terminal.

They are addicting.

thank you everyone who has thought about my sister. the surgery went well. she was in for 5 hours. the surgeon did an awesome job, he is an excellent surgeon. very meticulous and precise, which is exactly what you want when someone is messing around with your thyroid, parathyroid glands, and the nerves supplying your vocal cords!!

my sister got through the surgery ok, and now has a month of hell ahead of her as her body is starved of the thyroid hormone. after which she'll do the radioactive iodine treatment, and then get started on her thyroid meds. whether she has to go back to the CTCA or not will depend on the pathology report from the thyroid and the two lymph nodes that he took out. (they were enlarged and slightly firm, so he wanted to be safe and took them too.)
