i'm on three weeks' sick leave to recover from an icky infection i got that popped up just before i went to NYC for the org invasion thingie. you'd think that with all this time off, i'd be even more of an org whore than usual, but part of my illness is that i get high grade fevers every day, and when those happen, i can barely move out of my bed, let alone clack away at my laptop. i'm gonna be fine, but i have to wait for the infection to work its way through my system and be gone once and for all. it's not fun.

Nope. Still appearing daily. Sometimes even twice a day. Sometimes (twice last week, in fact), not at all. I'm getting better, but I'm far from out of the woods yet.

lots and lots and lots and lots of fluids. that, and when my fever gets really high, i have a very silly looking ritual that helps cool me down - i put on an ice mask and i consume bomb pops like they were going out of style.

and, of course, netflix and DVD rentals. i watched the entire first season of "lost" while i've been sick, and i'm working on the last season of "six feet under".

I had a friend in college with whom I had a ritual one summer - we made dates to go to the local 7-11, where we'd both get a bomb pop, and we'd sit out on the sidewalk and just talk about nothing important until we were done with our popsicles, then we'd go to our respective homes. It was cute.

bomb pops rule! i also like banana and root beer popsicles. yummy.

i'm tellin' ya...bomb pops are the way to go...or choco-pops, or a bowl of sorbet even...if there's anything in that category that you can stomach, it really helps cool you down.
