News: Bus driver angers mom By SARAH KENNEDY, CALGARY SUN
Stuffing a napkin into the mouth of a swearing six-year-old got a Cardinal Coach Lines employee moved to a different bus route, but the boy's mother says she's furious the woman wasn't fired. Tina Zygadlo said she picked up her special needs son, Dominic, from the bus stop a month ago and noticed something was wrong. "The bus aide got off and said my son was using foul language and when he wouldn't stop, she rolled up a clean paper towel and stuffed it into his mouth." Almost a month later, Zygadlo said she is baffled more action hasn't been taken. Keith McWhainnie, vice-president of Cardinal, said the aide admitted to pushing the napkin into Dominic's mouth and she regrets what she did. McWhainnie said there is a student management component to their employee training, but no formal instruction on handling children with emotional or behavioural problems.  | |

the mother had every right to be angry and the busdriver should have been fired. she had no business touching a someone's child. all she had to do was report the child and someone would have let the mother know and maybe the child wouldn't be allowed to ride the bus if it continues. | |

yeah, even if the kid was a fucknut, the driver needs to know that she can't just go doing stuff like that. It's unacceptable. | |

Upon first reading it, I was like... a napkin ain't nuthin!!!
Talkin to a kid that had this mouth scrubbed with a bar of soap! On the other hand, it's up to the parents to administer, not a fucken busdriver or teacher for that matter. I'm not buying the "special needs" plea though.  | |
