Admiral's Quiz: Why do gay bars look like so much fun?

Just trying to hold down the fort for my buddy CaptainChaos who has taken a mysterious and unexplained absence from the Org. I was thinking about it the other night and I was wondering if bars that service mostly gay clientele are as fun as they appear to be on TV. Like the Captain, I'm straight but whenever I see a scene in a gay bar in a movie or on TV it likes like the patrons are having a blast. Constant non-stop dancing, loud rave music, friendly and shirtless bartender offering sage advice. Is this really how all gay bars are because if so they look more fun then the boring ass straight bars I frequent.

Besides the "dancing with dudes" part (which I am 87% sure I am not into), is the old Admiral just going to the wrong bars?

I assume that it's because since it's full of men, whom we all know that, straight or gay, never so no to sex, everyone there knows that they're gonna get laid. Once you remove the chances of rejection, you can't help but have a good time.

That is a solid point. Lately whenever I walk into a bar, I no beyond a shadow of a doubt I'm not going to get any. Never in a million years. No chance in a world. Not if my life depended on it. So I guess that is valid.

But that's just negative thinking. The dude you're dancing with might be digging you, but ya gave up before even trying.

Wait, I was talking about the straight bars I go to. No I very seldom dance with other guys. Almost never. Which is to say not at all frequently. I mean just a couple of times. I mean last week was a busy week for that but that's just because I was really really drunk a lot.

I think I cleared that up.

If I'm out of town and don't know where to go out for a good time, I look for a gay bar/club. In general, I know I'll feel confortable, and I know I'll have fun.

I'm not sure you're being completely straight with yourself.

Fuck the funk - it's time to ditch the worn-out Vegas horns fills, pick up the geee-tar and finally ROCK THE MUTHA-FUCKER!! He hinted at this on Chaos, now it's time to step up and fully DELIVER!!

Are there gay clubs which are primarily for either lesbians or gay guys? Folk music vs. house. Everybody loses in that case. I'd probably have more fun with Abba playing.

most gay men and lesibians do go to differnt bars...

and gay men tend to be a bit freer in their forms of expression so therefore there is more going on in the bar.

I hear really cool things about lesbian bars. I wonder if they are true.

(Not: Full disclosure, I mostly hear the cool things from Penthouse Forum.)
