Natural progesterone or what is more correctly stated bio identical progesterone is "identical" to what your body makes and is not adverse to your body, it can be bought without a physicians prescription, but don't let that fool you on its effectiveness, it's the most effective hormone balancing supplement you can use. Premenstrual syndrome (PMS) is a disorder that affects many women during the one to two weeks before menstruation begins. Symptoms can include any or all of the following: acne, abdominal bloating, breast swelling and tenderness, backache, anxiety, cramps, depression, fatigue, fainting spells, food cravings, headaches, joint pain, nervousness, insomnia, skin eruptions, water retention, and personality changes such as drastic mood swings, outbursts of anger, violence, and thoughts of suicide. One of the causes of PMS is hormonal imbalance – excessive levels of estrogen and inadequate levels of progesterone. Hormonal fluctuations lead to fluid retention, which affects circulation, reducing the amount of oxygen reaching the uterus, ovaries, and brain http://www.womenlivingnat...php?id=184

increase your magnesium..it helps with muscle cramping. no such thing as a natural hormone. Plants cant synthesize human hormones.

I used progestin cream for awhile. My ladie's doctor recommended it, and perscribed it for me.. My body didn't absorb HRT so she thought I should at least try this.
It didn't work. So while I went through menopause it was all natural for me. Hot flashes, the whole mess. ^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^

Use Midol it works just as well. Progestin cream is not all that doctors say it is and it is deffinately not a good substitute for birth control. There is a doctor I went to when I was still living where my parents do and she would not prescribe birth control pills of any form, because she was catholic. I told her thanks but no thanks I will find a doctor who will give me what I need.

Talk with an endocrinologist about it, k? I was just reading about some reasearch showing that it's likely not the estrogen but the progesterone in HRT that contributes to increased breast cancer risk. More research is needed -- this is not a sure thing at this point -- but be careful. oh noes, prince is gonna soo me!!1!
