JUNEBUG - Possible spoilers later on in thread.

A dealer in outsider art threatens the equilibrium of her middle-class in-laws in North Carolina. Madeline is a go-getting art gallery owner from Chicago, recently married to George, a near-perfect Southern beau. When Madeline needs to close a deal with a reclusive North Carolina artist, George introduces her to his family: prickly mother Peg, taciturn father Eugene, cranky brother Johnny, and Johnnyâ™s pregnant, childlike wife Ashley, who is awe-struck by her glamorous sister-in-law. Madeline's presence exposes the fragile family dynamics as hidden resentments and anxieties surface.

I absolutely loved this movie!!!!!

Every single character in this movie is soooo interesting. It's almost like they can do a movie on each character. I fell in love with Ashley (Amy Adams) and I've always loved the actress Celia Weston. And of course, Alessandro Nivola is my current husband!!(I wish)

They do show Allesandro Nivola's butt when he's having sex with his wife. I think it's work the price of the rental. What an ass!!!!

But, seriously, the movie is soooo much more.

I just saw A history of violence. Viggio Mortensen's butt was in that.

I prefer tight tushies, female..

but I'll try to see Junebug, thanks M

I really enjoyed A History of Violence. The sex scenes, although not too explicit, were hot.

Ed Harris is f'ing hot. With or without the scar he had in the movie.

i liked junebug! i love the woman who plays the mother. she's like one of my mary kay place people - she's so adorable, she gives me warm fuzzies whenever i see her in a movie. ironically, her characters are typically really bitter. lol

Didn't she originally take Flo's place in the show Alice back in the day? I know she was in a sitcom back then.

I think it was mainly due to Oscar overload (it was the last movie we saw in a 3 day marathon getting ready for the awards) but I HATED this movie.

boxed

Actually, when it was FINALLY over I flicked off the tv and stomped out of the room. giggle

it was just sooooo slow and sooooo indie that it killed me!

lol shortly into the movie, they cut away to just still shots of each room in the house...with no sound...and I said to Denny "ah fuck, we are watching an indie movie"

I dunno, I enjoyed most of the performances, I think I may have just REALLY been movied out. Whatever it was, that movie worked every last nerve with me.
