Sutherland Reveals '24' Movie Plans
Hollywood actor Kiefer Sutherland has confirmed popular TV drama "24" is to hit the big screen.

Sutherland, who plays federal agent Jack Bauer on the show, recently joked a spoof version would make great cinema viewing.

But he now tells MTV.com plans for a straight blockbuster film are already in motion.

He says, "The '24' movie would be a two-hour representation of a 24-hour day. That would be the first time that we would not do something in real time, but the characters would obviously all be derivative of the show.

"The timing issue is something the writers are working on right now. But the sky's the limit at that point for them, because we would not be restricted by the time element."

no. dumb idea. the real time gimmick is part of what makes the show what it is. they could make it a two hour movie and call it "120", i guess.

I'd rather see a LOST movie...which I think would lend itself very well to the big screen

aren't they already basically doing that with Kiefer's newest movie which seems to be a complete rip-off of 24?

I hope they change their minds as we may be heading to 24 overload.

now if they had audrey go down in blazes in the 24 movie, i'd go see that. i don't like her. i want to see her get the nina meyers treatment so jack can hook up with chloe and they can bicker all the time.

If there was a film, the 24 would refer to the frames per second. It may be a prequel to one of the seasons, possibly even season one. Sutherland said he is friends with Leslie Hope who played his late wife and might be interested in bringing her back.

The real question is how many more Christmas trees will Kiefer drunkenly attack between now and then? They have rights, too.

Audrey annoys me. Did you see the funny look on her face at the end of the last episode? Either that was bad acting/production, or there's something going on there. Recycling the Nina thing would be lame, but. . . might be worth it to see Audrey go.

Is the lesbian girl still alive? I think she was the one that jumped out of a plane in the very first episode. Later, she shook Pres. Palmer's hand and made him sick with some bacteria or something.

I like the idea of a prequel movie, set back in the operation with that Victor guy when Jack was the only survivor and Palmer was calling the shots. Army Jack would be freaking sweet!

that would be AWESOME. one of my favorite moments from 24 was when they were in an airplane together and it crashed (of course), and then from out of the wreckage the two of them popped out and they just started beating on each other like nothing happened.
