Heading to San Francisco!

I'm only going to have a couple of nights to get carted around. Is there anything that's a must see?.

Can I come?! Please! Please! Please! I'll carry your luggage!

When you're there, you gotta see the neo-hippies, punks and skateniks in the Haight-Ashbury area; the Golden Gate Bridge; the sea lions on Fisherman's Wharf; the painted lady houses in the Fillmore and Pacific Heights areas; and the Pacific Ocean at sunset. I'd also highly suggest at least seeing Lombard Street (even if you don't drive down it), taking at least one cable car ride (preferably up one of the steeper streets) and people watching on the Castro. Don't pay to go to Alcatraz -- just look at it across the bay.

...And if you have time and transportation, go check out wine country. You don't even have to stop -- just driving through it on a misty morning is one of the most magical things you'll ever do.

Oh, buddy, if that's all you expect, you're in for a great surprise!

By the way, I see you're a Bostonian. Lucky you. San Francisco and Boston are my absolute two favorite U.S. cities -- entirely different experiences, and both awesome.

I happen to think Alcatraz is a fantastic experience. The audio tour is awesome.

I'm back!
It unfortunately it was raining the whole time out was out there except for one afternoon. I totally did the tourist thing. Sorry Prince?
It was cool.
Had dinner on Pier 39 during sunset
Saw the sea lions - pretty funny and smelly
Bought some crap for good prices - everyone's happy with their gifts ++
I ordered hotel food service for the first time - filet mignon mmmmm meat
Did the trolley ride - I like the old school stuff

I'm computer challenged and I'm not sure when I'll learn how to post pics.

Other than that it was busines all the way, but I'm going again in the next year.
thanks all

One of these days I have to plan a whole, small, Calli Trip. My Wife wants to go. biggrin
News: Prince pulls his head out his ass in the last moment.
Bad News: Prince wasted too much quality time doing so.
