Did aids kill off all the free sex in the 70's?

U know, was it the catalyst that put the end to all that hippy drippy unprotected sex going on in the early 70's, or was all that all blown out of proportion?

Short answer, by someone not much older than you (so maybe not of any use!): yes.

But I think you mean the sixties confused

You mean that there was a time when sex was free?

Man, I was born during the wrong generation.

people still have unprotected sex, but I don't know why. They still go to places like Le Trapeze in manhattan and swap partners..
You only need one time to get HIV, HPV, Hep c, etc..etc...

I think it's safe to say that, by the mid-80s, HIV had scared the hell out of a lot of people who were fucking recklessly in any decade. Unfortunately, people are becoming a bit complacent lately.

I admit, i used to do it unprotected. I know, i was a twat. U know, i would take it out before i climaxed. But i was still a fool.

I just think that, that whole hippy peace love thing often gets labelled with wild orgies of 24 hour sex. Just wondering if the press blew this out of proportion.

Iam all for protection. And always use it.

AIDS did put a huge plug in people going out and having unprotected sex with multiple partners. In fact that's when the health Dept stepped in and tried to close all of the Bath Houses

Sex is still FREE. nod

And there are SCORES of folks who didn't learn the FIRST time and are starting a whole new epidemic by simply not caring if they get HIV or not...In fact theres many out there that WANT to get it, just so they don't have to worry about safe sex anymore. Which of course is STUPID, as HIV is just ONE of a MIRIAD of things you can get or Give to someone else.

It has! Even with Aids. Back then there was no law for it. You didn't have to give up the ass. It was a lifestyle choice as it is today. I don't think Aids killed the the "free love" movement, it was that creepy old pervert who would dress up and talk about "free love" to all the young hippychicks just to get ass.

Bad News: Prince wasted too much quality time doing so.
You have those internalized issues because you want to, you like to, stop.
