Acid can effect your stomach, too (my friend was ill until he drank some milk) because he took it on an empty stomach. Some people say not to eat when you take acid, mushrooms or extacy, I say eat something vegetarian (PB&J is good for me) but eat something. Mushrooms gave me a funny feeling in my stomach, but I wasn't ever sick. I had no desire to eat meat while on them, though. Acid & Mushrooms are kind of similar and can be used in similar situations. But Acid gave me that weird chemical feeling in my body, and kind of a weird taste in my mouth. Mushrooms were more natural feeling, but they were more of a "looking at things differently" kind of drug where acid made me hear my thoughts in an accelerated way that led to revelations. It's like you tune into your subconscious thought process. Mushrooms were more visual to me. More suited for that trippy art you see at Dead shows, etc. or being in nature. I think you're right, because I remember reading about Hoffman (the guy who discovered acid, wasn't it?) and he accidentally did a huge dose. I guess pure acid isn't toxic and doesn't make you feel bad. I've never felt ill, but my friend did. It doesn't remind me of having schizophrenia, but talking to people who have done too much acid (not in their lifetime, but in a night) reminds me of talking to someone with schizophrenia. Also the feeling at the end of the night when you wish you could have a normal thought process again just gives me a feeling that if that were to continue, it might be hard to keep one's sanity. I know that they used to do experiments with LSD before it became an illegal drug and one of the observations was that people behaved as if they were suffering from schizophrenia.
