Your favorite tv shows are....

I'm all about the 80's in every way. Music, Fashion, TV, Films, etc.

I absolutely love the following shows:

The Odd Couple (funniest show in the history of television)
Good Times
What's Happening
The Jeffersons
Degrassi Jr. High

What are some of yours?

You actually like the new generation of Degrassi? I haven't watched it but I can't imagine it being nearly as good as the original.

I sort of like:
Queer Eye For The Straight Guy (American and Finnish versions)
Desperate Housewives

I used to dig C.S.I but nowadays it airs pretty much at the same time as Queer Eye so I'm usually able to watch only about 20 mins of C.S.I sad

Yes i do like Degrassi the new generation. I think it is good as the original series. Sometimes the new episodes does rehashed the old ones when it comes to topic choice like abortion, teenage driving, etc and there are other episodes where the new series take the topics to a different level from the original ones or create new ones that never was shown on old.
Also some of the original Degrassi cast members are on the new show now as recurring characters. Joey and Caitlin are recurring stars and they are dating. Joey happened to be the stepfather of one of kids from the new Degrassi series. Spike is also on the new series because her daughter EMMA is a part of the new Degrassi class. Lucy made a brief appearance too during the new Degrassi's first season. Snake is also on the new Degrassi too and he and Spike were dating. Also Snake happened to be Emma's teacher.
What I don't like about the new Degrassi is that there are too many main characters, there like 20 of them, unlike the old Degrassi there less characters. But I guessed the Degrassi writers intention is to get the viewers focus more on social topics rather than fully characters developement.
I am a big Joey fan. Long live the Zip Remedy. biggrin
I dont know where you are from but old Degrassi comes on very late on Noggin particularly on weekends, when I have the opportinuty to catch them.

Yeah, Joey aged some but still he looks very good. Here is his website. http://www.patmeup.com/ Pat (Joey) is like 34 so you off just a year. biggrin I am sort of jealous that Pat is married to Carmela, but still it seems like that he is happily married and that all it matters.

I love the theme song too and it is cheesy but I like it. "Wake up in the morning, feeling shy and lonely, gee, I gotta go to school. I don't think I can make it, don't think I can take it...."

I like that song too called everybody wants something. I was attempted to order some Degrassi books on ebay and that is how much I liked the series. I loved the original Degrassi too and also that I can related to some of the topics and those same kids on that show were like my friends in high school.

I know! The theme song is cheesy but I love it! I really like that song by Zit Remedy. I wished that there were more episodes to the old Degrassi series as the new ones has twice more eps. Oh well at least I can still see some of the characters like Joey and Spike on the new Degrassi series. Can you believed that Pat played Joey for almost 20 years but not consistantly though? I think Pat and Amanda Stepto who played Spike are the longest running characters.
