I don't like it hmph! Takes too long to make my decision... I'll go back to places 2 or 3 times, it's fucking tiring sigh

That said, I need some new living room furniture mad

nod I hear ya, been to several stores, did not see what I liked. Now I see a store is advertising a "Buy one, get one free" for their rocking chairs, so it's back to Lazyboy for me.
RIP, mom. I will forever miss and love you.

I just bought a leather reclining couch.

It was fun and stressful at the same time.

nod You wouldn't think that buying new furniture would be stressful, but it is.

Couches are misleading, they seem all nice and sturdy and comfy in the store. Then you get them home and like 2 months later, the padding is all flat, and the fabric is all streched out and distorted. Some seem to hold their shape better than others, and I can never tell which ones are the right kind to buy.

I've never had that problem when buying furniture, but know of people who have. You would think with the amount of money that you spend that furrniture would hold up better than it does.

Me neither , I hate putting furniture together. Usually my dad does it for me, because he's much better at it than me. giggle

Do you like it or loathe it? Not much of a shopper myself, but my furniture is 17 years old and is ready for the junk pile. lol One of my rocking chairs broke when I was sitting in it a few weeks ago (doh!! lol) so it's off to the stores for me to find two new rocking chairs and a sofa as well. After 17 years, I would say that I got my money's worth on them, since they're ripped and stained anyway. ill

I'm addicted to IKEA - and we may have a spree lined up in the very near future! woot!

Interesting how there's no prices shown on their furniture, so it MUST be expensive.

I love going with/for others but, not for myself. I get a vision of what I want and I have to have it! When I start looking, nothing ever matches up to what I want. Or sometimes its's insanely expensive so I have to change something in my Grand Plan.

Have fun!

comfort I hear ya!

I don't do it very often...(we ain't got it like THAT)...but I do need to
buy a coffee table. I'm embarrassed to say that we've been using a large
cooler in it's place for years now. no no no!

I'm looking for a large one with plenty of storage underneath.

Recently we spent almost $2000 on a sectional couch w/ two pullout
recliners and a pull out bed.

nod I hear ya; furniture is pricey, which is why I kept what I have now for 17 years. Now it's old/ripped/stained and no longer worth keeping. Good luck finding a coffee table. smile

Yesterday we bought a coffee table...neutral tiles surrounded
with natural wood...and plenty of room underneath for wicker baskets.

Not a bad price either...$200
Thanks for the laughs, arguments and overall enjoyment for the last umpteen years. It's time for me to retire from Prince.org and engage in the real world...lol. Above all, I appreciated the talent Prince. You were one of a kind.
