This is, in part, why I buy free range, hormone free, organic fed chickens and eggs. I loves me some fried chicken but I damn sure ain't gettin' it from KFC. Ewwww! Is it even real chicken they use?

oh, see - my favorite faux chicken nuggets are the morningstar farms spicy buffalo wings. i've never had the quorn kind (i don't think we get much quorn product in chicago), but i can't imagine anything being much better than the morningstar stuff. what i had yesterday was the trader joe's faux nuggets...not bad, but still not the best.

If you ever come across the Quorn "turkey roast" I HIGHLY recommend it. Great flavor and texture. And, whatever is left over is great either reheated or cold in sammiches.

We used to only find the Quorn line in one store in MPLS, but it's expanded a lot in the past months. So if you aren't seeing them yet, I'm sure you will be soon enough.

does quorn make the tofurkey? cuz i've seen that at trader joe's around thanksgiving. other than that, i haven't seen any of their stuff anywhere. i'm interested in trying their stuff!

no, tofurkey is a brand on to it's own. And if you haven't tried them yet, DON'T DO IT! Their tofurkey dinner is the most disgusting veg product i have EVER eaten. This includes our raw food meal the other week.

(although I will say that Tofurkey now has "deli slices" which are AWESOME for sammiches)
