Didn't get the job... There was a swank job as a music reporter in Bend, Oregon that I was in the running for. I, along with 7 other applicants, was chosen out of nearly 70 resumes. I found out today that I didn't make the cut for the final interview.
No matter how many times this happens, it hurts every damn time. There's no way around it--defeat stings. I don't know why I'm starting a thread on this...guess I just need to vent. On another note, if anyone reading this is in print media and wants an award-winning editor with 13 years of experience, let me know...

Ex-Moderator | I'm so sorry. I know you were really excited about this. I'm telling you, start sending your resume to papers in the Twin Cities. |

Sigh...thanks.
Normally, job rejection doesn't sting that badly...but dammit...I REALLY wanted this one. I'm sick of the Midwest. I love my Detroit, but I'm living in Toledo, Ohio--the NASCAR shaped belt buckle on the Rust Belt. Anyway, life goes on...and one day that damn paper will never forgive themselves.

I know how it feels when you don't get a job that you really want, it does hurt, no doubt about it. But there is a good job waiting for you around the corner. Don't give up, keep your head up and keep trying. RIP, mom. I will forever miss and love you.

Moderator | I'm sorry.
But something better WILL come along. In spite of the cost of living, it's still popular. |

I went for an interview in Preston once and the second question was how would I communcciate with someone in the next office!!!!I think thats got to be the worsted questin some one can ask you in interview. Next time Im asked that question I wont be so flippent.
