I don't quite get what is meant by "fluid" sexuality? Just sexual content in general? A mix of all different types of sexuality?

Either way, I think it's a big joke to say that the US would be ahead of any other country in accepting sexuality in any media. That's the biggest taboo of them all in American TV and/or movies! Had they said "violence" instead then I might have agreed. That said, I agree that the other countries he mentioned haven't come very far either. shrug

smile hug Thanks, I just think it's sad that we're afraid to straightforwardly depict something as beautiful as sex but don't have any qualms about showing violence....

I agree

I only remember a few things from that crazy movie: the nightclub called Hell, the fact that everything cost $6.66, the Jesus tattoo on his dick ("so that the girls can say that they've had Jesus in them"), the voyeur scene and some crazy nazi violence at the end (or something? confuse). I think all Araki's movies have some interesting ideas in them but they're just too over-stylized and too warped to really be satisfying.

I guess he has someone to share it with now then...

I remember thinking "is that a man or a mannequin?" when I saw him. He looked like the ultimate incarnation of a female fantasy, sort of the male equivalent of Pamela Anderson....or something.

lol Yeah, his face does look a bit flat. He could definitely play a boxer easily.

Post a picture of someone you think I would go for. It will be interesting to know what you think my taste is like (unless I've already told you and forgotten about it of course). smile

I totally agree--except for 'Mysterious Skin'. That was the first Araki movie I actually liked.

I haven't read the book, but I was very impressed by how deep the movie was. Not at all flip and campy like Araki's other films.
