Sent flowers to my wife on V-Day For Valentine's Day, I went to FTD.com and had a beautiful bouquet of flowers sent to my wife. She is a teacher and her and her teacher friends complain all the time about how unromantic their husbands are. Ha, showed them!
Couldn't really afford such extravagances but hell she's worth it. Anybody who can put up with all my idiosyncratic quirks for as long as she has deserves a lot more than that. i really hate to rain on the flower/roses parade.
While in college I discovered that a lot of the roses that we give each other come from Colombia and other countries in South America. Those feilds or gardens where they are harvested are sprayed with a very toxic insecticide. Toxic to humans anyway. Well, the women that work those feilds are exposed to the fumes. Some of those women are pregnant. The babies are born with crazy birth defects, needless to say. No arms, half a brain....etc. Most guys say hey, you are a bomb ass chick. Well yes, i think the typical crap is lame, but flowers.....no! Get me a card with a gift certificate to Vicki C's or something. Dude, if i get married....ever, I'll find a little old lady that grows her own flowers. | |

If they want a guy that will bow down to them and do whatever they ask then they would be looking in the wrong direction. I don't take any women's crap.
