Ok so...the Science Question of the day is.......

So we were talking at lunch today about supernatural stuff, and my colleague was saying that when he was in Australia, in the desert, he was told that the only way that they (whoever they are), could find water was with one of those twig/y-shaped sticks that points towards water underground.

i said,"well that's crazy! surely there's some kind of sonar that can detect water underground". he insisted that was untrue and no such device existed. So!

does anyone know of such a device?

we used a water witch at the farm smile

it's kinda freaky when it happens. i remember the guy showing me that there was a definate "pulling down" that could not be coming from him at all.

it's exactly what they used here before they drilled our tap into spring water ...worked well smile 8 gallons a minutes 24/7/365
