I would go with the pug. That bulldog's head looks like an accessory.

I think if you just go to the place that sells the dogs (are they called "kennels" or something?) you'll find a dog that you connect with. I remember when I first met my second bunny. I had no idea what I wanted the bunny to look like or what size it should be etc, but when I saw this particular one it was love at first sight. She came hopping up to me and seemed curious and lively and affectionate and harmonious. Just wonderful. mushy

thank you for adopting an animal rather than supporting a breeder or pet store. clapping

in terms of the choices, i don't have much experience with bulldogs, but all the pugs i've dealt with (i'm a p/t petsitter) are just awesome. they typically have a great disposition and love being with their "person(s)". most people tend to have two or more pugs and that seems to work well.

good luck finding a new four-legged friend!

Awww; A Boy And His Bunny.

Could be a Madhouse outtake!

And you are right! Don't chose the animal. Let the animal chose YOU... is how I got my two neurotic cats; from the pet shelter, not used to people, sounds or movement. Scared of EVERYTHING...

It took my FOUR years to domesticate them, but yesterday I was sitting on my comfy chair and all of a sudden they were on the couch with me, for the very first time!

Very rewarding

lol Yeah, and my apartment turned into a madhouse too! She hopped around and pooped everywhere and even took a big bite out of my bookshelf. But it was all worth it. smile

katt

Research the two breeds first.
Then contact the breed club in your country they will tell you all about the breeds that your looking at.
Then visit the dogs a few times watch how it interact with you if it’s nervous etc.
Before you purchase or adopt make sure you have a written worming record if they say the dog has been vet checked have a look at the documents and contact the vet.
If they place where your purchasing or adopting the dog says they dogs have been vaccinated ask to see the written documentation, make sure a qualified veterinary surgeon has signed the documentation and check out the batch number of the vaccine.
Then look into insurance you want one that will insure the dog for life on each illness it may have in the future.
Then go with what your heart and mind says.
