I liked it. We went to see it when It premiered. It has some very funny moments, some "piss u off moments", and a really good message. Tyler Perry rawks!

Have fun watching it. wave

I think that if you either love the "Madea" character Perry created for his touring stage plays, or just like feel-good homey movies that rely on a strong matriarchal protagonist, you'll walk away from the theatre liking this. And yes, there are some moments that will give you a little chuckle wink

i loved this movie, it was a good story about how a woman was scorned, but she swallowed the pride and did a good thing for a bad man...although she still didn't let him have all her glory, even when he changed.....

i thought it was a more realistic love story movie than most of them sappy ones that "just happens in the movies"..
I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince.

It's a good enough movie to rent if you don't have anything to do on a Staurday night or Sunday afternoon: feel-good, comical, easy....

I only have two words to say about this movie, "Shemar Moore"! That fine brother is in this flick and he plays the love interest to the lead actress. It's very good story about being in love, getting dumped, picking yourself up and finding a new love and ultimately redemption. The Medea character has the best lines in the movie and is a hoot to watch. However, one of my favorite scenes is when Shemar Moore tells his girlfriend something to the effect that she deserves happiness and a good man in her life...she deserves him, like he deserves her. Overall grade for pure entertainment value, I'd give it a solid B+.

The film was kind of boring and I'm dissapointed that I bought it sight unseen after renting one of his plays....the plays are better (in the case of "Diary", it was much funnier!). Meada is much more loose in the play...The play also does a better job of explaining who the characters are....I thought that Meada was Cicley Tyson's mom and I had no idea who Daddy Charles was and why he was hitting on the daugther and mom. It seems like the movie scarficed a lot (and had a very breif backstory....which wasn't needed at all!) in order to try and develop the story more but I don't think it was as effective.

People in my church are crazy about Tyler Perry -- he even attended a church service of ours, a few weeks back.

I've never seen any of his plays or his movie.

Doesn't seem like my kind of deal. Maybe I'll rent something next weekend.

Or not.

Tyler Perry has done the world a huge favor by bringing his films & his plays to a broad audience. He has an underlying tone that is morally acceptable, and he shows his characters dealing with topics and situations that can / do happen in everyday life. The musical numbers thrown into his plays showcase unheard of artists and shine a little light into each soul that watches them. I took a couple of the plays to my mom & dad and they were just so amazed by the stories. And Madea is one hell of a character. The wit that is shown makes the movies / plays worth the $$. But IMO, the plays are much better, I enjoy seeing them loose it on stage.
