TMPletz

There's so many I've enjoyed over the years...it's hard to say. Each one had it's special place in my mind.

Doom...it was great coming home from work and taking out my frustrations on helpless demons while I terrorized them in god-mode with a chainsaw.

Legend of Zelda...it made me buy the game before I even had the NES.

X-Wing...the first game for my first PC.

Starfleet Command II and III...the Star Trek game I had always wanted for a PC.

Star Wars: Battlefront...the first really great Star Wars FPS.

3 was set in the 60s (I won't give away the plot cause it will fuck it up if you ever play the game) and Yes, it was grrrrreat! Loading time seemed faster on 3 for some reason.

9.5 Presentation
The presentation is beautiful, the menu, art, game,mini-games, tutorials, its all you can ask for.

10 Graphics
One of the best graphics i have ever seen to date, Not just from MGS series, but from every game i have played.

9.5 Sound
Great sounds, from the guards, to the voice-overs, to the freaking grass and birds in the jungle.

10 Gameplay
Satisfying to the fullest for fans and future fans. Even if you may like MGS or MGS2, or even the MG and MGSS from way back more than MGS3, you still know its
a hell of a gmae.

10 Lasting Appeal
As I said you'll go back for more, experiment completing missions in new ways, trying to unlock more stuff, testing yourself with different difficulties and etc. will keep you coming back for more.

10/10 OVERALL

GET YOUR OWN COPY! There's a new edition of MGS3 coming out in a few weeks, online player thing plus new camera angle plue bonus DVD of entire MGS games (Like animated story, over 3 hours I think)

Can't wait to get my hands on a PS3 and MGS4 thumbs up!

Yes, Snake gets old, and that's an in-game screen biggrin

Some of my favourite titles on C64:

The Last Ninja
Defender Of The Crown
Samantha Fox Strip Poker
Nemesis The Warlock
Barbarian
Nebulus
Leaderboard III
Summer Games II
Law Of The West

I haven't really played much since the C64 era back in the eighties, but here are a few games I've played and liked on other platforms since then:

On Amiga:

Super Cars II
Space Quest
Rotox

On PC:

Nocturne
Half-Life
Unreal Tournament

On Playstation:

The Compromise Theory:
Based on my analysis, I believe the government faked the plane crash and demolished the WTC North Tower with explosives.
The South Tower, in a simultaneous but unrelated plot was brought down by actual terrorists.
Is it a deal?

X-Wing: I used to play that with my cousin, he worked the keyboard (he was the R2-D2 unit, so-to-speak) and I blasted them Tie-Fighters into the endless universe!

Dark Project: I loved the concept and level design of this one! Could get really creepy when you heard some bastard walking around somewhere and you didn't know where.

LucasArts adventures: Indy, Monkey Island, Sam&Max...take your pick!

...also Command & Conquer, and lots of stuff for the Game Boy (Mystic Quest!).

... I know a good game when I see it:

IK+
Tetris (the WEP-version from 1990 preferably)
Crystal Caves
Bruce Lee
Phobia II
Head Over Heels
Laser Squad
Civilization
Lemmings
Mayhem In Mosterland
Uridium
Paradroid
The Last Ninja 1-3
Nemesis The Warlock

...and apparently I haven't seen anything since the early 90s.

nod That one was a lot of fun. The fighting was quite intense and also precise, not like the newer fighting games where most people just press buttons at random which creates all kinds of advanced moves. I also liked the part where you deflect balls. Damn they got pretty fast after a while! And amazing how they could bounce so easily and then completely knock you to the ground when they hit you. smile

What!? What is a C64?

I think mine are Mario Brothers 2 and 3 as well as TMNT 3:Turtles In Time, all for NES....Too bad my NES doesn't work (and to my knowledge, I can't play TMNT 3 on another format....although you can unlock Turtles 2 on one of the newer games).
