Tylenol/Motrin/Kleenex/Campbell's

worship Listen...

My daughter's school nurse called Thursday with news that Chanel had a 100.2 degree temp...Kim sounded worried, because, as she put it, "Chanel never comes to me unless she is not well!!!"...nod I imediately call my God, then checked my supply of Tylenol cold medicine, and Motrin Pain/Fever.

I was at her school to pick her up in about five minutes... superman I wish I could trust a nanny, but after watching video footage, years ago, of some hateful bitch wacking a little girl square on the head - twice - with a wooden spoon before throwing the needy angel to the floor from the countertop where she was sittin, crying...I don't....But, anyway...

I immediately took Chanel to her peditrician for a strep(throat swab) test, and a influenza(nasal swab) test...They were both negative...However, that meant we(Chanel and me) were in this...with over ther counter Tylenol, and Motrin...fight...lol

Now parents...age AND weight of your child is a factor when measuring dosage...your 5 year old stringbean needs a little less than your five year old butterball... biggrin Always check with your pediatrician...!!!...wake us up in the middle of the night if you need to. Never worry! rose They want to help, of course! nod

Now interacting meds can be tricky...and the better way is to stick with just one...but, if you are using more than one, NEVER less than a THREE HOUR interval between them..AND so as not to over-activate your child with ingredients try to choose medications that DO NOT BOTH have ibuprofen, and DO NOT BOTH have acetaminophen. And to PREVENT over-use of those actives look to Sudafed incorporation.

Parent to parent...I know that you can appreciate it when I say that I am HAPPY about those mucus/sputum filled Kleenex tissues...ill yay! (Lord, please, don't let me catch that shit! pray )...because it show your child is beating it...that it's not festering somewhere inside their preciousness...Kleenex! yay!

Be well, children! heart Everyone! heart...When you have your health, you can do your BEST!! flower

smile No...eh...but, you'll be great! hug smile rose

Chanel and I are still in a zone, but her temperature has stayed down for almost 24 hours. nod Her conjestion is still breaking up. smile

~I have a tingle in my throat this morning...oh, boy... wilted

Ironically enough...she did a oral report on viruses in her Science class just after the new year...got a A minus. Her teacher took 5 points off - One, because she paused and made full eye contact with her class/teacher only once during the presentation...(he wants more than that)...Two, she speaks softly...

My shy girl...heart smile rose

Getting better. flower
