It used to be fully, completely and hard. It wasn't reciprocated as much as I would have liked. I'm more guarded now and have had a hard time to become like this, but it was necessary to protect my heart. I used to do everything for someone that I cared deeply for, give random gift, send cards for nothing out of the blue, etc.. Then when things wouldn't be so great or I stopped, then I would be told, "Oh you don't do this or don't do that anymore, I miss them" it was usually to late. Classic cases of you don't know what you had until it's gone. OK, I better stop now, I don't want to get depressed.

For me, it does what it wants, and I must say it's chosen to mostly stay away in later years. But I can also say that once it's found a place in my heart it very rarely goes away (because when I do love, I love with great passion, warmth and loyalty).
