Computer Help!!! I have been sent a DVD and it has EPS files on - Illustrator 10 (which I have) and PSD files (what are they)
anyway, I cannot seem to read either on my computer - my friend cannot either. Would the dvd be corrupt, or can I open these in any different programmes?? I may be asking the impossible, but my computer knowledge isnt that great - I only know what I know

you can open any file in notepad. There you can see if the file is a file or a program. You can also see if there is actually data there on the file. News: Prince pulls his head out his ass in the last moment.
Bad News: Prince wasted too much quality time doing so. You have those internalized issues because you want to, you like to, stop.

EPS (Encapsulated PostScript) files are vector based images. You should be able to open them in programs like Adobe Illustrator, Macromedia Freehand, etc.
PSD files are Photoshop files. You can open EPS files in Photoshop, but it will generally flatten them into a raster based image. I've never tried them, but there are some freeware image viewer programs that can apparently open and convert PSD and EPS files.... http://www.snapfiles.com/...eview.html http://www.snapfiles.com/...erter.html http://www.snapfiles.com/...irfan.html
