ATM's...Why the HELL do they have Daily limits?

I'm going to my year-end football party, where I have to dish out some cash.
Of course, I wait until Sunday AM to use the ATM. I need about $400, but the freakin' machine has a daily limit of $300. WTF???

I guess it's for my own safety, but there are instances when I need to get out more cash than that. mad

Banks R Bitches.
Thanks for the laughs, arguments and overall enjoyment for the last umpteen years. It's time for me to retire from Prince.org and engage in the real world...lol. Above all, I appreciated the talent Prince. You were one of a kind.

Yeah, I went to buy a digital camera and took out (in Thai baht) what I thought would be about my limit of 200 pounds. Then the camera I wanted was about 5 pounds more than I had on me! I went back and managed to squeeze out another 5 pounds, but not without being charged a fee of 2 pounds for an overseas transaction. Two withdrawals on the same day, which cost me about 4 pounds 50. In Thailand that's enough for dinner for two. disbelief

I run a fantasy football league. Last year, some of the winners took money out of their winnings to pre-pay for this year.

How the hell am I supposed to hold onto $200 without spending it for a whole year??? Every year it's the same thing. You'd think I'd learn by now.

So every year I'm putting in about $300-$400 to make up for that money. (In Jan - ie, right after Christmas!)

ATM users are suceptible to being held up. Isnt it nice to know that you are only physically able to give your attacker say $300 of your $100000 savings? or that if your card gets stolen, the amount u stand to lose is capped and it grants u a day to cancel your card? every cloud has a silver lining

That's why you need a 2nd account. I've got 2 accounts at the same bank with 2 different ATM cards. You can also use a credit card for a cash advance (I wouldn't).
Socks still got butt like a leather seat...
