While Larry Miller's actions were objectionable, I need 2 remind every1 that whether or not a film is booked in2 regular movie theatres has nothing 2 do with the subject matter. Any and all protest letters should really go 2 Miller himself. Management at the theatre level has no jurstiction over such decisions whatsoever. Keep in mind that as the films acclaim gets stronger, it will open wider, especially when the Oscar race officially begins.

It's playing in my city and it was "rated 14A" here in Canada... not R.

Anyway I saw it twice.

I think these theatres need to keep their mind on business and make some money on a tasteful Oscar-buzzy movie.

Absolutely pathetic. Yep, better ban that gay movie, otherwise innocent people might catch that homosexuality disease after watching it!

Ludicrous. Meanwhile, let's all go watch a film where a guy cut a man's eye out. That's good, wholesome entertainment. Utah is a joke.

What a fucking dumb ass. Why dont these hard core Christians not know the concept of SHUTTING THE FUCK UP AND MINDING THEIR OWN BUSINESS!!!!!

Seriously...I was channel surfung and came across former 'Growing Pains' star Kirk Cameron (now a big Christian) questioning people's faith in the streets of Hollywood and ended his program by saying somthing like....well it looks like a great deal of people here are going to hell. WTF?!

Watching this movie as a secure person...it will make you appreciate love for what it is. love is love is love no matter who it is.

If you have issues over the movie...you've been questioning yourself for awhile.....do not take it out on this movie.

Isnt it un-Christian to judge anyway?

Hypocrites.....

I just wrote a note to Larry Miller about being closed minded and about giving people a choice whether to buy a ticket or stay at home. Privately he can think what he wants.

when is it academy season again? is that soon?

Hey girl,

I forget when the Academy Awards are but the Golden Globes are this weekend. Sometimes the Golden Globes are a test for what may win an Oscar. I'm just trying to get out to watch some movies. I've seen most of the nominations but not all.

Yeah they were!

I was shouting at the TV....'GET AWAY FROM HIM'....I pissed me off to see these people giving him the benefit of judging who they are IN FRONT OF THEM without even knowing them or thier lives.....I have such a problem with that. I was at Venice Beach last 4th of July and was bombarded by 2 of these assholes....they were trying to be ticky by approaching me and my friends and asking us for directions to Santa Monica then had the nerve to say..."Thank you for the directions...can we give you all directions to the righteous path?

I almost fell off my beach chair.....I was stunned and pissed...but we gave them a mouth full...we all come from Christain/Catholic backgrounds and have all been disapointed greatly by these organized religions and were not about to let these fuckers tell us we dont believe in God 'the right way'. How the fuck do they know?!

ARRGH! it boils my blood like nuthin' else!

I'm glad my state (Washington) is "Blue." In fact, Brokeback Mountain is playing across the street from my home... I should go over some night and see it. The theater is a wonderful old place built in 1925... it even still has balcony seating.

Attention Mafia or anyone for that matter:

Just in case you want to voice your opinion or be an active representative. I just spoke with the Megaplex in Utah.

All letters or comments should go to:

Denny Haslam - General Manager
Megaplex 17 @Jordan Commons
9400 S. State St.
Sandy, UT 84070

I will sending them a little letter today thanking them for the free publicity. I want to tell them that even though it is only showing on one theatre here in Birmingham, we still have a CHOICE to buy a movie ticket or not. And all of our weekend showings were sold out.

If you don't want to see it, don't buy a ticket. I don't want to see Fun with Dick & Jane, but I have a choice. I can here Michael Moore starting his new documentary, 'Climbing the Mountain.' lol
