I cut off the end of my thumb Making food, cutting sweet potatoes with my new knife set and didn't realize it was in the way. I freaked out when I looked into the end and all I could think about was Evil Dead II so I screamed, "Who's laughing now!"
Got it sewed back on via 8 stitches (2 through the nail, ouch!) Came home, tossed the bloody sweet potato in the trash and finished cooking the meal. Not really sure why I'm sharing this but has anyone ever cut anything off before? Isn't it weird how it goes from being a part of your body to being a foreign object? Should I go see Hostel now? Does anyone know if the gore includes digit removal?  | |

I cut off the tip of my thumb about 6-7 years ago. Bone and everything. I have a high tolerance for pain, but I can honestly say that FUCKING HURT. They sewed that bitch right back on though, so I'm good as new. It gets numb every now and then, I wonder if that will get worse over time..... | |

Update; So I couldn't sleep because my pulse was painfuully "loud" in my thumb but after a couple of beers I was out. Now I must go get some Advil and fresh bandges cause this shit hurts.
