the colours remind me of some kinda heat monitor depicting (of course) heat, passion, perhaps even anger - depending on how you interpret his body language.
his horns are blue, to me i see that as warrior like (maybe i'm right? not too familiar with Eros...sounds warriorgod like LOL i heard it in an art history lecture but i don't remember what slide it was ) and blue, stereotypically "cold" kinda depicts his style of attack...very rutheless and hard...

his body language just shows how wild/ or powerful his personality is - with his head back and arms flailing, he's carefree, cuz he knows how damn powerful he is


that's just a bit of critiquing for those of you who care

Acrylic on canvas, with touchups in oil crayons and the cloud effect with just plain old white spraypaint.

my fave medium!

i just love acrylics...i've never worked with oils... i just like how malluable the colours are and how easy it is to mix...

my only problem is how fast they dry (the liquid ones anyway)

i'm really comfortable working with acrylics
and canvas i wish i could have a FREE endless supply 2 any size canvas...they're great 2 work with too

HOwever, oils are far better at evoking color moods. THey're much more vibrant and thei warm tones like red and orange can totally pop. It's not unusual for me to go over an acrylic with a little touch of oil here or there. I have no clue if this is good or advisable, but it works for me.
