I can't even count the number of times I've been out in some public place and seen an absolutely stunning girl hand-in-hand with some plain or even outright butt-ugly guy. But if the genders' looks are switched? I can't think of any times I've personally seen that.

The way I see it is that straight men want respect from other men and they think their choice of woman affects this.

I personally never go for attractive men. Maybe it's a self-confidence issue, but I'd rather be adored by a guy who thinks I'm above his league than left by one who thinks he could do better

It seems to me that younger men are "going for" powerful, rich, attractive older women???

I dunno... I think there is something to be said for money and power for some people who are seeking it whether they earn it OR are with a person who has earned it.

Just from my observation or "pop" culture, a women's age is not as much of a factor as it used to be???
