What's the most expensive/outrageous gift you bought this Christmas?

Did you go for broke for your loved one?
Did you buy your mom some hideous porcelain figurine that's destined to be stashed away in the attic by Spring time?
Go ahead...tell us...What did you buy?

(It was a stretch... but there is no end to what they would do to be there for me.....) Why mom even baked my favorite chocolate cake for all my friends. They aren't getting any younger and mom expressed extreme interest in the subject!

Anxiety

i didn't go as crazy this year as i did last year...i just spent a moderate amount of money on things that i KNEW people wanted or needed, and not things that i thought looked pretty but might end up in the backs of their closets. plus, the three people i'm buying for the most this christmas all have birthdays in the next two months, so they can wait for part two of their gift orgy from me! lol

i'm most proud of the gift package i put together for my best friend - i got her a bunch of stuff i like from trader joes, and added in a book and some music. it wasn't terribly expensive, but she's gonna get a huge box in the mail full of all kinds of fun stuff. that's the kind of thing i like to put together for people on the holidays. nod

We cut WAY back this year, but I am really excited about a few of the gifts we are giving.

We got my mom & step-dad 5 barnwood frames that we are putting pictures of their parents, them, my husband & I, and my little sister smile

I got my hubby the dice game "Stack" that he has been looking for for 4-5 years. It was cheap, but it will shut him up mr.green biggrin

I really went out for a friend of mine. He collects different kinds of pencils.
I got him thousands of them from Ebay.

He is the most positive person in the world touched
I've never seen him get angry and he's always smiling.

He got me a gift certificate to my favorite restaurant.
