4. Let her approach you. As usual everybody wants the guy to do the approaching.

I have no problem with women doing the approaching. I also have no problem with men doing the approaching.

I just think the eventual reward of finding someone you truly love and who truly loves you back far outweighs any leftover scars of rejection. Trust me, I've been on the rejection train and while it isn't fun, I can't say that it didn't help to shape me into who I am today in a positive way.

If he is going to talk down to me about anything then he has it coming. He pretends to be this wise man with all these deep meaning messages and then turns around and can't spell jerk. If you are going to make fun of someone then don't make mistakes like that.

I am not asking him to post a pic of himself. Of his wife. If she is such a babe he won't have a problem. I have tried the instructions that one person gave me on posting a pic and it did not work.

In my opinion i think it's best to avoid rejection as much as possible. Nothing good comes from it.

I used to think so too- hence the fear of asking any girls out. However, in hindsight, rejection actually did have its benefits for me.

I'm engaged to someone I can't imagine life without. It turns out she is in Australia, while I am in the US. We've been together for 2 and a half years now. It is very difficult to endure the distance and time apart. Perhaps I needed to experience the rejection I did to appreciate the scope of how rare true love can be. If that is the case, it was well worth it. I'd take being rejected 10 times as much as I was and it would still be well worth the prize that I have. nod

And yes, be yourself. Try a little to talk to her, but don't worry about it unduly. You're shy, and that's not wrong. Do your best.

Indeed, I am very lucky. We're both good communicators and have been open and honest from the beginning. It takes a lot or work and patience to be able to maintain a long distance relationship, particuarly one not of different cities or states, or even countries, but hemispheres.

nod Like Thailand and the UK. I was back and forth 4 or 5 months at a time in the beginning for a couple of years and it was tough.
