I was scared of a segment of Kate Bush's singing during a performance of 'Running Up That Hill' on Top of The Pops when I was little. I remember I had to leave the room!

For me it's escalators. I've always been quite nervous of getting on them. It's the thought of stepping on the gap and falling over. When I was younger, I used to thing I'd get my shoes caught at the bottom or the top of them and get gobbled up. Recently, I nearly missed my footing on one in HMV and nearly fell over! My heart was in my mouth! Luckily nobody saw though.

I used to know a girl at school who was afraid of the sight of fish. A girl I work with is scared of bananas?

i can't think of anything i'm afraid of, or phobic about. i think my biggest fear is people knowing what my biggest fear is.

Her hair was long, and it got ripped out of her head.. The hair went under the ending part of the escaltor.. To this day she will go up and escalator, but never down.

Honestly I have a fear of having a nervous breakdown in front of a lot of people.....people who I have to see on a regular basis. I'd have a hard time facing them after that.

Santa Claus or the "nisse" as we say in Norway scared the h*** out of me when i was a kid. My father dressed up as a "nisse" every christmas eve, and i would cry and scream, i hid under the table

I'm absolutely horrified of drains in general... pool drains, sink drains, tub drains, and I won't step on a shower drain, either. Also, kind of related, I'm terrified of exposed toilet tanks. You know, a toilet with the cover off the tank. I can't go into the room.
