My cats were first called Toto & Feline, names given to them by uninpsired people at the pet shelter.
So I named them DeeDee & Dexter. Over the years Dex's petname became 'Stippelneus', which means "Dotnose", as he got, how original, a dot on his pink nose. Real sweet.
DeeDee became "Vlekvoet", which means "Spotted Feet", cuz, hey, she's got spots on the pads of her feet. Real sweet too. She is the cuddliest cat I ever had.

But most time I just call them Mannetje & Vrouwtje, Lil Man & Lil Girl.

Sigh. I love them lots. Even though they are a worry ALWAYS...

we had a cat from the shelter, called "tiffany" barf

so we renamed her Maja (pron Maya), a real swedish cats name, and then the j became a hard throaty spanish j, since maja in spanish is the feminine for handsome, and it was quite appropriate.
