Leader or follower I went on this job-interview today. I don't know how it was, as it was really really weird and there are at least five candidates. Moreover, the school seemed (once again ) very catholic, everyone dressed up in blue, nuns everyone. I'd like to find a school with an open climate...
Anyway, what I wanted to tell you... the interview was taken by the two headmasters, a man and a woman. At a certain moment this lady suddenly asks 'Do you consider yourself to be a leader or a follower?' I wanted to say 'Do you consider yourself to be a fan of Prince's music or do you worship his cheap philosophies but then I realized this lady probably thinks Prince died in 1988. So instead I said 'What's your definition of a leader? I like to be a leader when I'm give space, but when thing won't work out, I retreat...' Maybe that was arrogant. Then she asked me about my good and bad characteristics. I started by saying I was 'blunt' and said I didn't know the word in Dutch. She had now idea what I was talking about so I tried, in a way that was maybe too blunt. I'm not sure what the outcome will be, but I had fun! I'm pretty glad she didn't ask me to speak English though. She probably thought she wouldn't understand me, as my vocabulary is way too sophisticated...

stupid job interviews
i had one today too, it sucked. I discovered that 1 characteristic can be interpreted in different ways. Some people might have thought you were arrogant, others won't find it a problem. The only thing that matters is that when you leave the place you know you had fun. Nothing worse than being overwhelmed by their stupid questions during an assessment procedure and still think about that at home. Good luck Marie

I like to be a leader when I know what I'm doing and I know that I can do it, not when no one else wants to be a leader.

On the other hand, I really don't know what to hope for tomorrow. A job? Or should I follow this feeling and not accept the offer if there comes one?
