What do you do when someone wants you to call them....but you dont want to

scenario. Someone I know wants me to keep calling them....all day....and its quite annoying if you ask me. They are in work and I dont want to call while they are friggen working cause they go....well uh....call me later cause I gotta do this right now. So they called me up earlier and go you never call me...call me up later tonight.....im like ugh fine.....but im here sitting in front of my phone and im like UGH I DONT WANNA CALL but i dont wanna be mean either

what do i do

ok, BIG PICTURE ANSWER: just tell them you're not a phone person. it works for me, but then again, it's the truth. i freakin' hate talking on the phone. let them know that you aren't one for phone chatting.

NOW ANSWER: you committed yourself, so i guess you're stuck with having to do the deed. just call, make up some reason why you can't chat for long, but say you remembered your obligation and you were thinking about them, yadda yadda, and make it short and sweet.

It seems to me this person just says "call me" as a way of signing off the conversation, not that they really want a phonecall. you could just say "you too! Bye!" and you're off the hook

Simple answer: Don't call unless you are desprate to talk to someone. If you are desprate to talk to someone.

I know that's what people often do but it still bugs me to no end. Why can't they just say "talk to you later!" if they absolutely have to say something to that effect. At least that would be true and honest.
