I have been invited to my states Capitol on Dec 11th for a formal dinner and an award!!!!!

A lady i met my phone but never face to face has a well program that helps the elderly and since I take care of my Grandmother of course I was interested. So I signed my Grandmother up for actitivies and the prescription drug program.

So I became this lady's unoffical spokesperson for getting all these elderly people help with health issues in our community. Mind you we have never met face to face!!! She called me and said I am to be part of the award program because I have direcly helped 300 elderly people in the last 5 months!!!

From providing information, getting them transportaiton, help with their medicines,actitivies etc., all through her wellness program. It it all document has she sent me copies and an official letter came from Frankfort with my name on it!!!!!

I am a nobody I dont know these people, I will be meeting with legislators and the like, I am nervous and scared at the same time. I am not college-educated I just believe we need to look after our own community and quit whining and depending on the Goverment!!!

What do I say or do??? What do i wear??? Will they like me??? I will be getting to met and see videos of some of the elderly who have benefited from this program. All have been able to remain in their homes and be independent like my Grandmother.

always be who U are that is the most important.. U are not there to be something ur not... U are a kind giving person and help when needed... U advocated for ur grandmother's needs and n the process U helped many others and more to come i am sure... there are things we do in life for a purpose and do not know that it will have such a positive effect on others... i am happy that this woman credits ur efforts and is showing U how that has paid off for others.... ur a great woman and i am very proud to call U a friend
