What do you do to save money on heating bills? Make sure your windows are well sealed. Insulate. Get a storm door (thinking about doing that myself). Close off vents and doors to under-utilized rooms. Wear sweaters (ask President Carter). And, most important: Leave your thermostat set to only one temperature, rather than varying it through the day. It takes less work for your home to maintain a temperature than it does to warm it up periodically (like in the morning or when you get back from work). | |
