All the securing stuff an insecure person needs to hear...

Mmmm

Just had a GREAT talk with a friend of mine and he just kept on pointing me into some directions that were obvious to me, but, insecure AND lazy as I am, did not dare to proceed into.

But sometimes we need a good talk and a good shake up to get going, don't we? So, yesterday I got a 'no, thank you' for a new job I was really hoping I would get. Instead of being grumpy about it I am just more dedicated to get another job! I just sent FOURTEEN letters out and then had the greatest conversation, the one I told you about already.

So now, even though coming about after a serious case of the flu, I feel all good! Yippee!

Even though I got bruised ribs from coughing so violently for five days... really something that happens to me! rolleyes Very Herman.

Besides the ribs I am doing way better. After havent been able to sleep for about two and a half days, I finally got some sleep yesterday. That helped lots.

Ooh, and my house is a MESS! I need to go out and get new kitty litter, but I can't be arsed.

Yay! Positivity is fantastic!

Youll get a job soon Im sure, you really have to remain positive, it really has an impact on what happens nod

Sometimes you just need the reassurance of someone else, who can see you clearer than you can.

thumbs up!

True! Thanks for the thumbs up!

I had a rotten couple of years behind me and I just knew I did not have the right energy to get myself a new job. This was only the first real interview I have had the last couple of months, but it was the first where I felt I was able to convey positivity.

And getting turned down does not demotivate me much, more like it gives me a surge of energy to get it right the next time.

Even though it was stupid not to take me. The guy that interviewed me was a newby ("So, can you name something that is negative about yourself?") and turned me down for not having the proper experience in the right field. I would always go for the right person in the right place and I would have been SO good for that office.

But oh well... rolleyes

Wow. Insecure AND lazy? That's a magical combination! wink

I only say that, as I sometimes feel those 2 traits are my biggest downfalls as well.

Good luck in your search, Goo. This is a good reminder to me to get back at my own search. Difficult as it has seemed.

I'm trying to find a job too. And I try to be as positive as possible. Every conversation that didn't work out very well is an opportunity to learn... even though it's not always very pleasant if it's not going as smooth as you thought it would go.
You're definitely gonna find a nice job thumbs up!
(and so will I!)

Good luck, Herman. As you say - it's their loss.

I'm sure something great will come along soon.
