MrsJimmyFallon

heck yes, i was! biggrin

i used to LIVE at the mall video arcade when i was a pre-teen/teen.

my favorite games were Centipede, Space Invaders, Pac-Man, Frogger, QBert, and Astroids. i also looooved pinball.

my mom used to get so angry with me for all the money i'd waste at the arcade. lol i'd blow my whole allowance (and later, babysitting money) there all the time.

the funny thing is, i don't really care much for today's video games or computer games. my nephews are in *their* pre-teen/teen years now and they will talk my ear off about their video games and their XBox and GameCube or whatever all that stuff is and my eyes just glaze over.

but still today, put me in front of Centipede or Space Invaders and i'm good for hours. lol

WHAT???

It's just the animation in Pong is so basic that any change in graphics would seem to be an improvement, but if you like it like that then that's just fine with me. wink

Back in the day
I was THE Centipede-King.
When Millipede came
My rise to the top of the high score was meteoric.
This is when I realized that I had a problem.
Haven't touched any kind of video game since then.
(Ironically tho, I have designed a few games & characters
that are out there now.)

We should seperate Arcade and Home systems here.

The Jump off in the arcade was definitely Spy Hunter

I'm not sure how many people played this game Night Stalker, it was basically a bootleg Space Harrier but that shit was fun. nod

Who remembers Teddy Boy for the master system. That wasn't a cartridge either but a small card.

Teddy Boy was like Crack/Cocaine to me.....

I used to have a major Mr. Do! addiction. The Mr. Do! machine at the grocery store seemed to like me, as I found diamonds fairly often (finding a diamond won you a free game).

A few other games I liked...

Tron...

Star Wars..

Klax...

Gauntlet...

Space Ace...

Yeah, i bet those games would be so easy now. IAm going on all the old sonics (they got re-released on the modern consoles recently). They are so easy

Mario 3 world 8? hmmmmm, that was the final world right? Where u fought on those ships that had the moving screen, then u got some rock hard levels and the map was all dark?

Remember the few levels that had that sun that chased u on mario 3? He scared me when i was little lol Good memories with me VS my brother or whomever.

"but we said no flutes to be used this time" "oh whatever". (remember one could be luigi and one could be mario doing the levels together)

Mario 2 would still be rock if i wouldn't use the warp pipes.

oh my god u r killing me here!!! I used them damn "Warp Zones" too!! It use to be fun trying to see where you would end up. It was funny, the person I would play would go to the bathroom or something while I was playing on like level 2 or something and then they would come back and I would be on level 4!!! That shit was off the hook, I always knew all the little hideouts and shortcuts.
