People too stupid to be in a job

I've just called to order a beef chow mein from a take away and you have never heard such a palaver...

Worker: 'Hello...erm King Lee'

JD:'Hello I'd like to order a delivery please'

Worker: 'Erm...what would you like?'

JD: 'A beef chow mein please'

Worker: 'What number's that?'

JD: 'I dunno, you work there!'

This follows a five second delay when this numpty seems to fiddle about, mutter something to someone and then...

Worker: 'Have you found it?'

JD: 'What!?'

Worker: 'The number'

JD: Stop winding me up mate, I'll order somewhere else

This has resulted in me ordering a large chicken kebab from a burger bar which is a total mistake and utterly revolting when I put my mind to it.

Some people are just too stupid and/or bone idle to be in a job aren't they? Has anyone else been the victim of such bone idleness? Do you work with a lame brain?

...Stories please

So I'm at the counter and the cute little blond girl with a lip ring at the smoothie place tells me my purchase 5.15

I give her 6 dollars. And she's about to give me my 85 cents back, but noticing she doesn't have much change, I gaver her 15 cents (so she could just give me back a dollar).

The poor girl frooze. She was horrified becuase she needed to do the math. falloff

It used to happen to me weekly too. But I now try to avoid that with anyone below the age of 30 who might be working the counter.

I also love calling my ISP up and having them bullshit me (15 years in IT, and I can smell a technical lie like a fart in a car), only to set the record straight on their pompous asses. lol

biggrin Insomniac, then? Truly though, I find the Crusades a depressing historical footnote in British history. We were mushroom-munching pagans, worshipping Pan and basking in the infinite wonder of morris dancing and tea abundance upon fruitful Mother Earth. Then Christians came along and killed us all.
