Ok, since everyone is well aware that the last photo assignment is "behind schedule" (lol), I have a question to ask:

I have another assignment already in place for anyone who truly wants to participate...it's one that involves taking a photo(s) of yourself and does not depend upon everyone turning in their assignment.

What I was wondering is, should I go ahead and start that assignment now, while still working on assignment #2?...Or should we wait and finish assignment #2 before moving on to #3?..

i could use the company's cam for a day or 2 ... or maybe i already have enough pics of self

i say finish #2 ... then start #3

I vote we start number 3 immediately with a stiff deadline but maybe thats because I love taking pictures of myself

my initial reaction is do one before the other but perhaps the interest from the next would help generate interest in finishing the word assignment??

I'm definitely aware of the fact that people have screwed up and not done their part. But since you're the only one who has the pictures and knows what the project is all about (since you for some reason didn't want to disclose that), it's ultimately your responsibility to put it together, even if that means adjusting your plans a bit because of missing pictures.

I even started a special thread for you where I recruited a dozen people to take care of the leftover words, but as far as I know none of us have gotten any from you.

You need to step in an finish this. Nobody else can do that at this point.

Of course you'll get a few people that want to go for the new one since nothing seems to be happening with the old one anyway, but I think you can count on the fact that those who participated on the old one want to see the results. Why else would they have participated in the first place?



Of course your desires play a part. If you had desired to finish off project #2 then it would have been finished by now. The only reason that we're having this discussion is because some people's failure to submit their pictures made you lose your desire to wrap it up and post the results in whatever form it might be, unfinished or not.



Then that's how it's going to end up.

As I said, I have no credibility to worry about, or to prove...I was asking because I was willing to take on two photo assignments if that's what the majority wanted. How it turned into a referendum on me and my credibility in your eyes...well, I have no idea.

That leaves 26 photos that would still need to be taken...and I've had about seven extra volunteers, max. Some of these words have already been assigned twice, and will be going on a third time being assigned...not to mention that I will have to crop and photoshop about 90% of the photos that are turned in, just to make sure the finished "product" makes sense and is enjoyable. Try taking on formatting, resizing and editing 50 photos sometime when you're already packed with paying work and responsibilities, and see how easy it becomes. But I don't mind, because I thought up the idea as something enjoyable and fun for us to take part in. 60% of the participants haven't lived up to my deadline, but I'm faulted for not living up to your individual one??...

Yet I'm the reason this assignment isn't being completed. Ok.
