Star Jones off the Red Carpet I don't know if any of you care at all about this, but I must say reading about this, this morning made me smile.
E! is not renewing Star Jones' contract. This past icky appearance at the Emmy's will be her last. I have started threads about this before. Calling Star Jones "schmarmy" gives schmarmy people a bad rap. Star Jones and Diana Ross take it to a whole different level. (IMHO) In the article I read they said that Kathy....blanking on her name...has her show about being on the "D-list" may be taking Star Jones' place. That will be great. She is hilarious and makes the Red Carpet a lot of fun. I'm firmly planted in denial

great news! she must be the worst interviewer of all times!
i don't know who she was talking to, but i remember somebody saying "I am so blessed" in response to one of her questions, and she responded: "Aren't we all?!" Kathy Griffin is truly hilarious, and i hope she'll get the job - it'll make the show worth watching again!

K.G. is truly hilarious when she can do her thing unfettered. But that would require allowing some truth to be injected into the proceedings and I don't know if Hollywood's ready for that.

you didn't answer my question in the everybody thread. how much weight is a stone? Fourteen pounds. When I get paid, I eat like a pig for a week, but by the end of the month, I'm on one meal a day in the evening because I'm skint. I lived off cookies and ice cream for three days, two months ago. I'm not very healthy at all.

Actually, for Kathy Griffin to replace Star Jones would be a great thing indeed.
I saw an episode of Kathy's show, and when she was a guest on The View, she was, y'know, herself, and said what she felt, and nobody treated her like an equal except for that Joy woman. Every one else reacted to her real shittily. Especially Star Jones, who, after hearing Kathy make a mildly unorthodox statement, wrinkled her nose and scooted away from her to the other end of the couch and stated she didn't want to be associated with her by being seen next to her. This actually made Kathy cry backstage. I know, she may be an oddball sometimes, but the cast of the View should know better than to blatantly alienate their guests. It reminded me of middle school girls at the lunch table.

I've heard she is being replaced because too many folks walking down the red carpet were afraid she would eat them whole. I don't normally make insensitive comments about folk's weight, but for Star I make an exception. Do not hurry yourself in your spirit to become offended, for the taking of offense is what rests in the bosom of the stupid ones. (Ecclesiastes 7:9)
