I'm sure they'll find some lame way to bring him back, but it was quite satifying to see Venom Jr. ripped in half and left adrift in space.

I'm glad that Cassidy mothafucker is dead ! I think he was a good villain, though.

This being said, i 100% agree with u on the fact that comics (particularly Marvel & Image, DC somehow saved the honor) took a catastrophic direction in the early 90's. I'm glad these years r over smile

How about my buddy George as The Wombat. He could also play the dreaded villian Hasbeenica.

Agreed. I love lots of 90s music, and I think the vast majority of Prince's 90s output is criminally under-rated (hey, TGE is one of my absolute faves).

Note that I also said the EARLY 90s for comics. In those days, Marvel and Image were going great guns at trying to exploit the boom in comic collecting. They were pumping out all sorts of dreck that was heavy on gimmick, light on story.

Well, most of Marvel's production kept sucking 'till Quesada took things in hand. The whole Heroes Reborn/Heroes Return fiasco wasn't 2 glorious either...

I agree with the fact that Prince's 90's material is waaaay underrated. I actually think his 90's production is AT LEAST as good as (if not more) interesting than his 80's production.

Oh, the Heroes Reborn thing was a puke-inducing mess. Most especially Rob Liefeld being given Captain America and The Avengers to frak up! Why that dude gets work is beyond me! He is, quite possibly, the worst artist in comics EVER!

WTF?????

I agree on this one also: Liefield'art sucks but the worse was the plots: Cap & Avengers were just UNREADABLE & SILLY!!!. Jim Lee's 2 series were better, but the whole concept sucked, it was all about $$$ & didn't make lotsa sense anyway. & if they REALLY had 2 do it they should have thought about it as a sort of "ultimate" reboot while letting the REAL Marvel Universe out of it...
4 one thing, i remember having lots of fun reading the whole Onslaught crossover but 10 years later i wonder what i'd think about it. I still have the whole thing, i gotta give it a look one of these days but it's gonna b a real headache 2 put all the issues in the right order b4 reading 'em: that cross-over was particularly hard 2 follow in a coherant order with characters going from & in2 every series like this...

Which make me think : how did they eventually justify Tony Stark's return from the grave & the young Tony Stark from a parrallel reality's didappearence after Heroes Reborn. I never happened 2 find the xplaination of this other fiasco. I guess u must know?

LMFAO, when I was a kid, I thought G.I. Joe was the greatest comic since sliced bread....LOL Kind of silly now, but what great memories.

There were some nice story arcs.

The 'Nam was awesome as well.

I know that it was explained in a one-shot, but I never read it. I believe it was penned by Kurt Busiek.

Yes, the whole "teenage" Tony from an alternate timeline was truly the pinnacle of suckery.

Perhaps the shitty art of Mr. Liefield deserves its own thread?
