Great pics and story Neil. Your comment on Jazz appreciation from everywhere but here is so true. The irony is that it is one of the few forms of music that is truly American music.

Found that suit on sale. thumbs up!
Regarding the shoes. It is hard to find a pair of white shoes you'd be caught alive in (forget dead). disbelief
I was bumpin' around J.C. Penney when I saw some white Rockport walking shoes.

You were clean to the bone. That suit really looks great and I know you had a hard time finding shoes to match it. Great choice in the shoes.

Looks like you had a ball in France.

Hey Neal, you guy's look solid. What a wonderful experience, especially to be invited to play with these seasoned musicians, in France!!! must've been totally awesome. You all look so cool, calm , and thoroughly jazz cultured. Can feel the music oozing out of the pic's.

Can only imagine what what juices you fed off from the other players during your performance. You can probably tell I'm very excited ! cool
Looks like you had one heck of a trip, and I bet there was Jazz appreciation to burn. France has a tradition of great jazz players.

...2 fantastic guitarists that play tunes in the Django Reinhardt style,

Django, rated as one the all time notable Guitarist's, only had two working fingers on the fretboard making his achievements even more notable.

This is the 2nd time i've had this experience where people outside of the U.S. appreciate and understand Jazz much more than the American public.

I'll never forget your description of the first one wink
Thanks for once again sharing the essence of a spectacular Musical extravaganza.
Speechless....
